Octoberfest 2012 Blog Hop



Happy Octoberfest 2012!
Rita from Toltec Jewels
announced she was hosting a blog hop that had to do with Octoberfest, 
I wanted to get in on it..
October brings lots of fun to our household...
Halloween,  The World Series, Fall & Friendship.
I wanted to share two things that I love but have come together as one.
I have a love for horror films and graphic designs.
So I decided to share some of my fav tags that either I have made or have been made for me.

Sequintastic:: The Reveal





Finally I am back on the net.  I had been away for a bit (2 weeks) and was hoping that I would make it in time
to do the blog hop and guess what??  I did =)  
Sarah from Saturday Sequins is hosting her first blog hop.
I love crafting and stuff and really have not gotten a chance to make anything revolving sequins.
I had been wanting to make some ornaments for Christmas for a while now.
The templates I made are not exactly what I envisioned, but they came out great.
I am still working on a few of them, so I will be posting the ones I finished.
I decided to make snowflakes and Christmas trees.
Here are the flakes


I loved the silver but wanted to switch it up with some color...
This resulted in.......


All together....


I was not sure if I liked the red back ground, and being a newbie still to the whole 
photo taking scene, I changed it up a bit and tried the white background.


Ugh..... too dark.
I guess more practicing is in my future.. lol
Now for my trees, because I don't want to leave them out....


I just need to add the sequins and I will update those looks hopefully tomorrow or Monday.
So that is what I did with the sequins...

Thrift Shop Blog Hop.... The Beginning


I finally did it.
I went ahead and signed up for a couple blog hops.
I have to tell you that I was extremely nervous at first because I never thought
my pieces were worthy of being shown to the world.
But I guess it is true what they say.
We are our worst critics.
Sooooooo
When Sarah of Pookledo posted about this blog hop I knew I had to join.
Besides creating jewelry, I love thrift shops.
So our first order of business what to go to a thrift store and pick up something for under
$1.50
Look what I found


I know for sure what I am going to do for a first piece.
I just hope it comes out the way I want it to.
The second piece I am not so sure about.  I do know it will either be earrings or 
a ring... 

So next I need to post an "in progress" photo which should be coming up here soon.
