Jelly fish Pinning with Purpose

Every week Hope from
picks out a few pins from her pinterest board and tries to
recreate them or use them for inspiration.
She challenges her readers to do the same.
It can be anything from a recipe to a craft idea or even a home decor.

So since I don't play around in pinterest that much,
I decided that I am going to try the challenge.
Let me tell you,
I thought beads distracted me.
Pinterest is addictive & I almost did not get out.
But I did find one pin that peaked my interest, so I tried it out.
You can follow me on pinterest here

Here is what I came up with...

A wire wrapped Jelly fish.
The original had just the beaded antennas.
(well, that is what I call them. HA!)

I really like how it came out.
I do need to practice my wrapping skills more,
so I figured this would be a perfect way to do so.
Another shot.

I think this is something I am going to be doing more often.
Thanks Hope for the challenge.
I really enjoyed it.

Have a great weekend.

Wednesday's Odds & Ends

Happy Wednesday everyone.
Whenever my husband goes out he finds odds and ends
for me to try to make something out of it.
These things can include earrings, bolts, washers, caps, rocks
just anything that grabs his attention.

One day he came home with a single hoop earring.
(of course I forgot to photograph it when he gave it to me)

I did cut the ends off and filed them down.
I had originally wanted to fill it with some sea glass I had,
but they were too large.
So I went with the next best thing.
Patina and fresh water pearls.

I used a combo of  Verdigris & Jade from Vintaj.
Then I filled it in with the pearls.

Here is what it looks like.
I am still not sure about it.  lol
But....
I am going to be a mermaid for Halloween
so this is going to go with the outfit.

Have a great day!

Feature Friday Sallyamoss Ceramic Crafts Ltd.

It's about that time again to feature an etsy shop that
has some cool things.
This week I am featuring Sally Moss' shop
which specializes in stoneware pottery.

Here are some of her most popular items in
her shop.

Fairy House tea light holder

ceramic wall vase

ceramic giraffe

Sally got started about 25 years ago.
She was looking for a hobby to get her out of the house.
She found a local pottery class and fell in love with clay.
For many year, while her children were small,
she was happy to potter away in the garage and sell at craft fares.
Then, about 12 years ago, her husband took redundancy and they moved to the Isle
of Wight, England
to set up there pottery.
They have never looked back since.
Sally says,
"Pottery is my passion and my life.
I love, live and breathe it and I am at my happiest when I am at my pottery
wheel with a lump of clay and an idea in my head."

Sally has a lot of wonderful items.
But, don't just take my word for it..
go check out her shop.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Feature Friday

I had been gone for a bit due to a medical issue with
my hubby,
but we are back!!

This weeks feature etsy shop is

When I heard Donna's story of how her shop came to be,
I knew I had to feature her.
Her daughter had donated 12 inches of her hair to Locks of Love.
She did not like headbands that were uncomfortable.
Donna started to create some and before long she was getting a lot
of requests from her daughters friends.

The headbands are non slip and are available in youth and
adult sizes.
She also makes keyfobs, lanyards, hair bows and belts.

Here are a examples of her work...

Right now Donna's is offering 10% off this month for
Christmas in July.

Donna is a working mom of two girls who loves accessories.
She is a marathon runner and she swears by these headbands.
Donna says,
"They won't move an inch!"

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Micheladas Musings Feature Friday

Happy Friday
&
Happy 4th of July!!

I am so glad to be blogging again.
I decided that I wanted to do some promoting.
So I came up with the idea to feature one etsy store every Friday.

This week's feature is
Michelle Shackett Potter of

Michelle has always done some kind of crafting.
When her daughter, who had ADD, was at home,
she did not have the time to craft.
After her daughter graduated high school & moved out
Michelle decided to start creating again.
She says she has found herself.

Baby Girl's Creations has a little bit of everything,
but does specialize in travel items such as
seat belt covers, car organizers, iPad headrest holders and more.
She also takes custom orders, too.

Here are a few items that I absolutely love

a Black and white Geometric iPad cover.

I also liked the Black and white Geometric Seat Belt cover

and I love this floral baby car organizer

And if you shop with Michelle today you can get 10% off of your order with this code
Welcome10

You can also find
Baby Girl's Creations on facebook here.

I hope you all have a wonderful Fourth of July weekend.

AJE Component of the Month Reveal

Every month Art Jewelry Elements chooses readers to play with the
Component of the Month.
I was lucky enough to be chosen.
Linda Landig created these beautiful ceramic flower
components.
Here is what I got.

When I received mine I knew instantly what I wanted to do with
it.
I have been making sun catchers for a few weeks now
and wanted to switch it up a bit.
So instead of a crystal,
I used the component.
Here is how it came out.

And another shot.

Thank you so much for allowing me to play along.
I really had fun.
Here is a list of the other players.
Have a great 4th of July weekend.

Where Did the Time Go???

Wow!
I can not believe it has been since the end of Nov since my last post,
but then again, I can believe it.
My family and I have been going through some rough times and
I had to step back from my blog for a bit
and tend to real life.

I am still creating when I can and trying to get my etsy
built up.
Doing workshops, working on photos and trying to get keywords to get my
product out there.
But I am enjoying it.

Here is a pair of earrings I just finished up last night.
I love the fun, beachy type earrings.

You can purchase these here

The Friday Fav over at Micheladas Musings
is up....

Purchase the lapis earrings and receive a custom made pair of earrings free.
Just convo me the color you would like the other pair.

That is it for now.
Have a beautifully blessed weekend.
