I also made a matching bracelet and earrings to go with it.

Check back here on November 1, 2013 to see what our
next kit will be.
Until then,
Have a great week.

2nd Annual Octoberfest Blog Hop 2013

I keep asking myself,
"Just when did October get here?"
It seems like this year just flew right by.

This time of year is always my fav.
Basketball, the world series, football and hockey..
Oh wait that should be saved for another blog. HA!

I love the changing of the colors,
the oranges, reds and yellows just amaze me.
Colder weather means lots of hot cocoa and good books.

Rita of  Toltec Jewels, put out a call for her
2nd Annual Octoberfest blog hop,
I had to get in the fun.
Last year I was just a newbie to creating.
and was very afraid to show a piece.
To anyone!
This year I made a bracelet that
represented October to me.

I also made a pair of earrings.

 One more bracelet.

All of these pieces are available at my etsy

I want to thank Rita for allowing me to be a part of this years hop.
I always enjoy your hops.

Here is a list of the other participants...
Lots of talent here..
So grab something to drink and Enjoy!!

6th Do Over Challenge

Welcome to my spot in the 6th Do Over Challenge
hosted by Jeannie K Dukik of Jewelry by Jeannie.

20 lucky participants were given pieces that were created by Jeannie
to turn into our own little creations.
I was excited when I got my package in the mail.
This is what Jeannie sent me.

Lots of smokey glass beads and blue swarovski beads.
At first I was soo excited that I had a few ideas of what I wanted to do.
I knew I was not going to do a necklace..
That was a for sure thing.  lol
(I just was not confident enough yet.)

So I grabbed some wire mesh beads that are used for the basketball wives
earrings and added a bead cap to each side for stability.
Then layered the blue swarovski crystals.
Here is what I came up with.

I was still a little stumped on what to do with the smokey round glass beads..
And then it hit me.
I made a triple strand bracelet

I had a great time doing this challenge.
Thanks Jeannie for allowing me to participate.
Here are the other blogs that joined in.

And if you would like to sign up for the 7th do over challenge

Have a great weekend.
