Welcome to my spot in the 6th Do Over Challenge
hosted by Jeannie K Dukik of Jewelry by Jeannie.
20 lucky participants were given pieces that were created by Jeannie
to turn into our own little creations.
I was excited when I got my package in the mail.
This is what Jeannie sent me.
Lots of smokey glass beads and blue swarovski beads.
At first I was soo excited that I had a few ideas of what I wanted to do.
I knew I was not going to do a necklace..
That was a for sure thing. lol
(I just was not confident enough yet.)
So I grabbed some wire mesh beads that are used for the basketball wives
earrings and added a bead cap to each side for stability.
Then layered the blue swarovski crystals.
Here is what I came up with.
I was still a little stumped on what to do with the smokey round glass beads..
And then it hit me.
I made a triple strand bracelet
I had a great time doing this challenge.
Thanks Jeannie for allowing me to participate.
Here are the other blogs that joined in.

Just love those earrings. Beautiful rework!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nelly..
DeleteThe earrings are cool. Mesh beads? I'm not sure I ever saw those before. They add some nice texture to the earrings. I really love that bracelet. What are the larger beads in the bracelet?
ReplyDeleteYa I really did love how the earrings came out with those mesh beads. The larger beads were labeled as swarovski, but I am not quite sure. They were in a mystery box a friend sent to me.
DeleteVery pretty earrings! There is something about a multi-strand bracelet - swoon! Nice job!
ReplyDeletethanks Patti... I love making the multi-strands.. but then sometimes I think I make them too much.. Wait can you ever have too much?? lol
DeleteFabulous earrings Mischelle.I like the earrings too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Becky.
DeleteWhat a great job- the mesh beads are very cool, and Swarovski is always a hit! Christie
ReplyDeleteThank you charis. I have had those beads forever and figured I might as well use em.. lol
DeleteInteresting! The necklace I got used the same smoky topaz beads but mine didn't have blue crystals. So I added blue to mine while you took away the blue from yours. That's funny!
ReplyDeleteI noticed that.. lol
DeleteGreat use of the blue and smokey beads - I love those earrings! Like that multistrand bracelet, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Beti

ReplyDeleteThank you Shaiha. I do too.
DeleteYou did such a lovely job transforming your piece! I love the bracelet, and have to confess that I'm intrigued by the "basketball wives" mesh beads...I have never seen those before!
ReplyDeleteI thought they were different.. I can not even remember where I got those beads from.. It had to have been some time last year.. I am thinking on Listia, because I do get some pretty interesting things on there.
DeleteGreat earrings! and a lovely bracelet. Terrific job!
ReplyDeleteHi Mischelle,
ReplyDeleteI love the earrings and the bracelet they are both very beautiful. I never think to make more than one strand on a bracelet.
