Deep Deep Creating Thoughts

My Thrift Shop Blog Hop

::In Progress::

Okay so I have spent the last couple of days getting my pieces together for the blog hop.  I had to take one piece apart and will definitely take the other one apart because I wanted to use copper wire instead of the silver.  My hubby said he could not tell, but I could and that is what mattered.  Anyhow here is a few pics of my madness in process......

Here is my board at one time.  I had a little of everything just thrown everywhere.  LOL  But a nice chaotic mess it is, don't you think?

They are not quite done.. In fact I have taken them apart a few times.  But I am just missing something and I don't know if I will be able to get it together by reveal time.  So this is my little quick peek into my goodies I will have ready.  Come back to see how it all comes together.

Have a blessed evening.

The Countdown Begins.. 15 Days

Training Camp in Napa

Today was the day that the Oakland Raiders were to report to Napa for training camp.  Actually just the veterans, as the new guys have been training for some time now.  As of 10 pm Friday night, we had signed all of our draft picks. Which means 89 players showed up today ready for practice.  Even though they will not practice with pads for two days, it is still exciting.. August 13 seriously can not come fast enough for me. We have a great team this year and I know we can get to the super bowl.

So do you follow football and if so, what team?

Have a blessed night.

Thrift Shop Blog Hop.... The Beginning

I finally did it.
I went ahead and signed up for a couple blog hops.
I have to tell you that I was extremely nervous at first because I never thought
my pieces were worthy of being shown to the world.
But I guess it is true what they say.
We are our worst critics.
Sooooooo
When Sarah of Pookledo posted about this blog hop I knew I had to join.
Besides creating jewelry, I love thrift shops.
So our first order of business what to go to a thrift store and pick up something for under
$1.50
Look what I found

I know for sure what I am going to do for a first piece.
I just hope it comes out the way I want it to.
The second piece I am not so sure about.  I do know it will either be earrings or
a ring...

So next I need to post an "in progress" photo which should be coming up here soon.
Stay tuned.

Have a blessed evening.

There Here.. There Here... There Here.. The Link Challenge

A few weeks back I finally decided that I needed to start getting myself out there and joining a few
blog hops.  Peggy from The Charm Barn gave 20 of us 25 links to create with.
10 people received a tortoise shell color and the other 10 received black.
Guess what??
On Saturday my links came in and guess what color I got?
Yep that is right.....

Black... Shiny wonderful black links..
I have a few ideas floating around in my head..
I have yet to ever make a necklace, so maybe that might be where I am headed with these.
Or maybe not.
Who knows.. But I do know that I will be posting a "in progress" photo soon.
The reveal date is Aug 17th
and
voting goes on til the 27th..
Good luck to all of those who are participating.
If you like the links and would like to purchase them,
check out her etsy store here...

Have a blessed evening..

My Top Hatter Find && A Give Away

Before I talk about my finds at Top Hatter, I want you all to check out a fellow bloggers give away.  It is for a good cause and the prize is to die for.  Someone is going to be very, very lucky =)  Here is the link to the blog  Fusion Muse for all the details.  I did buy a couple beads from the site she will send you too Sinarin Silver..  Great beads.  I am def going back next week to get some more.

Next, I was on facebook the other day and there was an ad for Top Hatter.  I had no clue what it was, so I clicked on it.  I was like a kid in a candy store.. An online auction.  Jewelry, beads, supplies for crafting and jewelry making, beads, odds and ends, beads and did I mention they had beads?  lol  So when you sign up you get a $5 credit to spend.  But be careful because you have to read how to spend that credit. Some rules do apply to them.  I had to use my credit on something that the beginning bid was $5.  So I sat and watched.  Lots of goodies passing me by.  I just did not know what to get...  And then someone was destashing and I picked it up for a cool $4 after my credit.  That included the shipping.  Here are a few pics of what I did get.
This is a pic of everything that came in the box.

Some plastic beads, findings, and charms

Lots of wooden beads.. I am thinking wind chime!

Rondelles, gold tube beads, clasps and some beads.

Ribbon, wire, orange seed beads, more clasps and some ready made earrings for clip ons.

I am thinking for $4, I did pretty okay.  I have some ideas of what I may use some of the pieces for.  I may just make a mystery envelope for Listia and include some of these pieces.
If you want to join in on some auctions, just get on facebook and type in Top Hatter in the search.  Click on the app and have fun.

Have a blessed evening.

Meet the Grandsons

While my two youngest boys went to the library && then off to bible study tonight,
I thought I would blog about my grandsons.
They complete me.
I honestly did not think I could love anyone more than my own kids,
but I was completely wrong.
Okay so maybe it is a different kind of love.
One that I just can not explain.

Marik is my oldest grandson.
I dont get much time with him,
but when I do, he is all smiles && love.
He loves Spongebob, Caiou && Cars.

Joshie is my second oldest grandson from my son Ollie.
I have spent the most time with him, because I just felt I needed to help out more
since my son has been gone for a bit.
Josh is definitely my clown of the bunch.

Heeeeeres PJ =)
Gramma's love bug.
I kid you not there is ALWAYS a smile on his handsome lil face.
I treasure my time with this one the most because he is just the cutest.  lol
Just kidding.
I love my babies all the same.

So these are the loves of my lives && my inspiration for
how I live my life.

Have a blessed day!

Rain && Tomatoes

Woke up this morning to the sound of rain.  What a lovely sound that is in the middle of the summer heat wave. I remembered that I had to sweep up some of the charcoal from the BBQ, so I went out && what did my lovely eyes see?  Red Tomatoes on the vines.  I had not even tied them up yet so they were on the ground && Probably NOT edible.  But fact remains that my sons planted 6 tomato plants, 3 survived && produced flowers && so far one plant has produced some fruit.

As you can tell more are on their way to turning red.  So I will def keep you updated.
Oh ya one more thing.. I had to stop using my old blog.  Every time I try to access my older blog it says something about Splat and a virus.  So since I have no clue how to really work my way around blogger yet, I just went ahead && made this one.  Have a blessed day =)
