Driftwood Pendants

The beach has always been my happy place.

Since I love to make jewelry,

I thought I would try something different with the driftwood I had found in

Monterey, Ca & Santa Cruz, Ca.

So pendants sounded like the way to go.

I wire wrapped the driftwood and added some 

brown leather cord to make this piece.

 I really am loving the whole look and think I am going to have a full collection

of pieces from the driftwood I have saved over the last year.

Monterey or Bust

My honey decided that he wanted to get out of town for the day 

and we had two choices.

Kings Canyon National Park or Monterey.

Of course I did not care which one because 

one, it was snowing in the mountains and

two, I am an aquaholic.

We ended up in Monterey.

It was my very first time there and I tell you I am hooked.

While it was raining here in Fresno, there were clear skies at the beach.

I have never been to Cannery Row.

So this was so amazing to actually walk the streets where I had only read in the book.

 John Steinbeck is one of my favorite authors

(the other being F. Scott Fitzgerald)

There is just so much history in Monterey

But I can not tell you how much fun it was to take my honey on his first ever

sea glass hunt.

His is hooked and is already planning our next trip to hunt for the sea jewels.
