Black and White Challenge Reveal

What an extremely busy week this has been.
I was afraid I was not going to get this posted on time,
but guess what??
I did it!

What is this you ask?
Well Sally Russick of  The Studio Sublime
put out a call for a Black and White Challenge.
All we have to do is design
a piece of jewelry using the black and white pallet.

I had a few pandora beads that I have been wanting to use for a while,
I wanted to put them into a design
other than a pandora type bracelet.
I glued some bead caps to the ends and then wire wrapped them.
Added a string of white seed beads and then
some silver chain I had.

Here is another shot of it.

I will be putting this up in my etsy soon.
Here is the list of other participants of the challenge

Thanks Sally for a fun challenge.
I really enjoyed this.
Have a great day!

  1. Yay, welcome to the party, Mischelle! What an elegant and bright bracelet design... I am especially impressed by your clever re-do of the Pandoras. I have seen really cute large-hole beads that I didn't buy, since I rarely work with that style, but now I'll be taking a second look at them.

    1. Thanks hun. I had those pandora's for about a year and had to do something with them.. lol I really don't like to use them because of the huge hole but this seems to work out well.

  2. Hi Mischelle,
Beautiful piece, I like that it is mostly white with just splashes of black. Neat idea about gluing the bead caps to the large holed beads.

    1. Thanks Therese! I tend to gravitate towards black alot and thought I would move out of that comfort zone.

  4. This is a great idea to alter the Pandora beads with bead caps- I love this! There are so many large hole beads "out there" and this is a fantastic way to incorporate them into everyday designs. Beautiful necklace!

    1. Thanks Patti! I know I tend to stay away from big holed beads. But now I think I may use them more often ;)

  5. It's gorgeous! I love all the wonderful textures. I have never used Pandora beads but I do have some lampwork beads with large holes and always have difficulty with them sitting straight. Looks like you have found a solution.

    1. Thank you Sally for putting on such a great hop. I really enjoyed this one. I don't use bead caps much, but after this I most definitely will not discriminate against them. lol
