Bead Ruckus Reveal

It's that time again...

To reveal my piece from the Bead Ruckus kit.

2nd Annual Octoberfest Blog Hop 2013

6th Do Over Challenge

Welcome to my spot in the 6th Do Over Challenge

hosted by Jeannie K Dukik of Jewelry by Jeannie.

20 lucky participants were given pieces that were created by Jeannie

to turn into our own little creations.

I was excited when I got my package in the mail.

This is what Jeannie sent me.

Lots of smokey glass beads and blue swarovski beads.

At first I was soo excited that I had a few ideas of what I wanted to do.

I knew I was not going to do a necklace..

That was a for sure thing.  lol

(I just was not confident enough yet.)

So I grabbed some wire mesh beads that are used for the basketball wives

earrings and added a bead cap to each side for stability.

Then layered the blue swarovski crystals.

Here is what I came up with.

I was still a little stumped on what to do with the smokey round glass beads..

And then it hit me.

I made a triple strand bracelet

I had a great time doing this challenge.

Bead Ruckus #6 Reveal

Well it is finally here....

The Bead Ruckus #6 Reveal.

My first reveal since joining.

Epic Fail on my part.

With my health issues and other things going on.

I dropped the ball and created a piece for each item

instead of creating one piece using all the supplies.

I now have it embedded in my brain 

and will not screw up next time :)

Focus on Life: Week 34 "Add Something"

This week, Sally at The Studio Sublime asked us to 

"Add Something"

to our photos.

Since this week I spent a lot of time with my 

grandbabies, 

I decided to create this little shot.

What I did was add a old photo look to it

and then did an outline with some blue for 

my 4 grandsons.

I like playing around in PSP XIII

and this gave me a chance to use some filters I would not 

normally use.

Znetshows Giveaway Winner

Back in July Znetshows blog was hosting a giveaway.

So of course after joining them in 

Artisan Whimsy's 5 x 5 challenge I had to get in this giveaway.

I love their products 

and who does not love to win free beads??

I am not quite sure how many prize packs they had, but I 

ended up winning two of them.

Update & Ramblings All in One.

I know I have been MIA for a bit.

I have been sick for about 4 weeks.

I thought it was the stomach flu but turns out my 

gall bladder is the culprit.

But I am going to do my best to make sure I blog more.

I do miss it.

Anyhow I found this cute little ditty on one of my fav blogs

Making :  more time for my loved ones.
Cooking :  not as much as I would like.
Drinking :  Hot tea on a Hot day.
Reading:  is not something I can get into these days.
Wanting:  to get out of this town.

Playing:  with my grandsons.
Wasting: time with the wrong one.
Sewing:  underwear.
Wishing:  for that beach get away.
Enjoying:  every day as much as I can.
Waiting: for the right time to make my move.
Liking: my new outlook
Wondering: if he will EVER get it.
Loving: my kids and grand babies.
Hoping: for that one love.
Marveling: at the wonders of life.
Needing: love.
Smelling: tea.
Wearing: a smile.
Following: my own drum.
Noticing: life is full of many surprises.

Bead Hoarders Blog Hop Reveal

The amazing Lori Anderson  put a call out for all Bead Hoarders

to dig into their stash

and create some beauties using those 

beads.

 I, once again, decided to join in.

Not because I think of myself as a Bead Hoarder,

but because I love to save beads for a rainy day, or in this case

a hot, sunny day.

Unfortunately I came down with food poisoning and was 

in bed for about 9 days.

Sooooo....

I was only able to get a pair of earrings made and start on some pendants.

I had saved some lovely sea glass type rings from what Lori sent me

for the Bead Soup blog hop.

I had no idea what I wanted to do with them.

Until I remembered that I had won some awesome fibers in a contest last year.

So I grabbed them and some green sea glass beads I had left over from

the 5x5 challenge.

I right away knew what I was going to do with them ;)

(that is a first.. lol)

Here is what the bottom looks like.

I then started to wire wrap a couple pendants,

but did not get the beads on them :(

But here is what they look like.

Yep, kitties :)

I have not decided if I want to make pendants or pins.

But either way I will post when they are complete.

Lori, thank you soo much for putting this on.

You truly amaze me with everything you have going on and 

still can get us together.
