Art Elements May Themed Challenge Reveal

I know I'm a day late. I was traveling yesterday.  Here is what I came up with..

I had an old windchine that I wanted to spruce up a bit...  So I took it apart and cleaned up the parts and drilled holes in the sea glass I had picked out.

I then wire wrapped the glass and chimes

And here is how it came out.

Happy Ground Hog's Day and the Friday Fav

Happy Friday Everyone!

It seems like the weeks are just flying by.

Ground Hog's Day seems to have given us 6 more weeks of winter.

Blech!

But I think we are safe here in California.

Last night at 7 pm it was still 60 out.

Today's Friday Fav is a beautiful Starfish bracelet that is made with 

some recycled glass, silver spaces and a fun Starfish connector.

Artisan Whimsy 5 x 5 Test Group :: Sea Glass

The 5 x 5 Test Group in Artisan Whimsy 

tested the Beach Glass Beads  from ZnetShows.

This is the set Bill sent me

I decided I wanted to make a bracelet and try to use one of the 

turquoise beads as a clasp..

Epic Fail..

But what it did turn out was a pair of earrings

and this bracelet, which I took some seed beads and

strung them. Then twisted each strand.

I added a sand dollar charm to it.

I then took the green fish bone beads

and pair them up with some glass chips and 

bronze chain to make this bracelet.

Next were the long green duo that I knew were going to make 

earrings.

I took a link from the bronze chain and added some 

briolettes.

I still have the smaller white duo and the shells

that I just ran out of time to create anything.  But I will get it done within the next few days and 

post my results.

Earring Swap Blog Hop

Who does not love a great pair of earrings?

I know I sure do.

But I love them even more when someone makes them for me.

Jessica Murray hosted an earring blog hop and I was paired up with

Michele Dotson.

Michele and I hit it off great and talked about what each other liked.

She mentioned garnets and I mentioned the beach.. lol

So one day this cute turquoise box shows up in my mail..

So I opened it up and inside were two sets of eyes looking at me... 

Yes turquoise skull beads... 

I can so make something with these..

I love love love em.

Then I saw the earrings and loved them from first sight.

They do have a beach feel to them and I know I will definitely be wearing them alot this

summer.

I would like to thank Jessica for putting on the hop.

I had alot of fun and made a GREAT friend in the process.
